Game 20

This update is for the games that were played on Saturday, March 5 at the RBC Centre.

In the early game the Stars' season ended on a sour note with a 7-2 loss to the Hawks. Greg Wierenga scored both goals for the Stars, while Dave VanOostveen scored two for the Hawks.

The middle game saw the Omegas beat the Flyers 6-4. Kalen Hellinga & Lance Ross each scored twice in the Omegas' win. Lance also got two assists and is this week's Player of the Week.

In the late game, the Cougars ended their season with a solid effort against the Crusaders, but lost the game 3-1. Adrian Roelands led the way for the Crusaders by scoring twice.

Ejections

Jamie Feenstra of the Hawks was ejected from the game against the Cougars for receiving three minor penalties. This is the third time that this has occurred for Jamie this season, so he is suspended for two games. He will not play in the game against the Stars on Saturday, March 5, or the first game of the playoffs on Friday, March 11. He will be able to return to play in the second game of the playoffs on Saturday, March 12. If Jamie gets ejected once more for receiving three minor penalties in a game, then he will receive another two game suspension.

Matt DeBoer of the Crusaders was also ejected from his game against the Flyers. He also received three minor penalties in the game. This is the first time that this has occurred for Matt this season, so he is okay to play the next game.

Game 19

This update is for the games that were played on Friday, February 25.

The Omegas showed the Stars why they are the number one seed going into the playoffs by winning the early game 6-0. Karsten Berg scored twice, while Kalen Hellinga got three goals & an assist. Seth Hellinga earned the shutout. Kalen & Seth are two of the three players that will share the honours of being Player of the Week. With this loss, the Stars were officially elimated from the playoffs.

In the middle game, the Hawks beat the Cougars by the score of 6-2. Kyle Huizinga got three goals & an assist in the win and is this week's third co-winner of the Player of the Week.

The late game saw the Flyers beat the Crusaders 5-4 in overtime. The Flyers were up 3-1 at the half-way point of the game which still gave hope to the Cougars' playoff chances. The Crusaders were able to come back thanks in part to two goals scored by Matt Tamminga and brought the game to overtime. The Flyers' victory came from Ryan Cross' second goal of the game. Darryl Poort also scored twice in the Flyers' win. The Crusaders were able to clinch the last remaining playoff spot with the single point that they earned for getting to overtime. In doing so, the Cougars were eliminated from the playoffs.

Ejections

Jamie Feenstra of the Hawks was ejected from his game last Friday because he received three minor penalties. This was the second time that this has occurred for Jamie this season. He is okay to play the next game, but if this happens a third time this season, he will be suspended for two games.

Dan Wierenga of the Stars was also ejected from his game last Friday because he also received three minor penalties. This is the first time that this has occurred for Dan this season, so he is okay to play the next game.

Game 18

These are for the games that were played on Friday, February 18.

The Crusaders bettered their hopes of being in the playoffs by beating the Hawks 4-3 in the early game. Ryan Benjamins scored a goal and two assists for the Crusaders, while Greg Bork got three helpers.

The Omegas once again showed their power by beating the Cougars 10-4 in the middle game. Kalen Hellinga scored a hat-tick for the Omegas. Lance Ross scored twice and added four assists in the win. He wins the Player of the Week honours.

In the late game, the Flyers beat the Stars 5-3. Derek Bouma & Joel VanVeller each scored twice in the Flyers' win.
