The Stars & Flyers won their respective "Play-Down" or "Wild-Card" games this past Friday, earning their spots in the semi-finals.

Here is the schedule for the semi-final games on Friday, February 17th at the Pt. Edward Arena:

7:00pm - Hawks vs. Flyers
8:15pm - Omegas vs. Stars

The winners of these two games will play for the Championship game on March 3rd.

The Omegas & Hawks have earned the bye to the semifinals on February 17th, so they will sit out this week. The remaining four teams will play for the right to make it to the semi-finals.

Here is the schedule for the play-downs on Friday, February 10th:

7:00pm - Albinos vs. Stars
8:15pm - Cattle Barons vs. Flyers

In the early game on February 3rd, Jake Huizinga of the Hawks & Andrew Noorloos of the Cattle Barons were each handed a "10 minute" misconduct. This was the first "10 minute" misconduct for each of these players this season, so they are both okay to play again this Friday.

However, this incident put Jake Huizinga over the 30 minute plateau in accumulated penalty minutes. This means that Jake will be suspended from playing in the first game of next season (the accumulated penalty rule does not effect playoff games).

In his game on December 2nd, Chad Tamminga of the Omegas surpassed the 30 minute plateau in accumulated penalty minutes. Chad has been suspended for one game. Since the Omegas' game against the Albinos on December 9th was forfeited by the Albinos, Chad will serve his suspension this coming Friday (December 16th). Chad will be eligible to play again on December 23rd.

Chad Tamminga & Corey Moesker were each handed a "10 minute" misconduct in the game between the Omegas & Albinos on Friday night. This is the first "10 minute" misconduct for each of these players this season, so they are both okay to play again this coming Friday.
