Posted Tue Feb 11, 2020 - 10:26 PM

In the late game between the Cattle Barons & the Ice Dogs this past Friday, we had a couple of more incidents that lead to an ejection and a suspension.

- Aaron Boelens (Ice Dogs) was ejected from the game for receiving three minor penalties. This was the first time that this has occurred for Aaron this season, so he is okay to play in the next game this coming Friday.

- Devon DeBoer (Ice Dogs) received a major penalty for kneeing. Because it was called as a major penalty, Devon has been suspended for two games. The next game that he will be eligible to play again will be on Friday, February 28th.

There were a couple of incidents in the game between the Flyers & Cattle Barons on January 24th. After sorting it out -here is what became of it all:

- Darryl Poort of the Flyers was ejected from the game for receiving three minor penalties. This was the first time that this has occurred for Darryl this season, so he was not suspended for it.

- Matt Kreeft (Flyers) & Chris Veenema (Cattle Barons) were each handed a "10 minute" misconduct. This was the first "10 minute" misconduct for both of these players this season, so they were not suspended for it.

- In the game, Chris Veenema surpassed the 30 minute mark in accumulative penalty minutes for the season. He has been suspended one game for doing so. The next game that Chris will be eligible to play in will be on February 7th.

I forgot to mention that Chris Veenema of the Cattle Barons received three minor penalties in the game against the Albinos on Saturday, January 11th. He was ejected from the game for doing so. This was the first time that this has occurred for Chris this season, so he was okay to play in the next Cattle Barons game on January 18th (even though he wasn't there).

Forfeit

Posted Thu Dec 26, 2019 - 11:02 PM

The Albinos took a forfeit loss to the Omegas on December 20th due to the use of an ineligible player. The Albinos are not protesting the forfeit loss, but are protesting the $100 fine. We will table this issue until the league meeting at the end of the regular season.
